Blended Education Pathway

dermaviduals Blended Education Pathway features a series of tiered educational courses designed to advance the level of knowledge for aestheticians throughout Australasia; to ensure best practice and to train a new generation of engaged and inspired Practising Corneotherapists.

A deep understanding of the integumentary system along with the ability to link cosmetic chemistry to specific cells and systems, provides Practising Corneotherapists the ability to educate and coach clients while prescribing efficacious formulations that promote skin health and function. 

To aid in your understanding of Corneotherapy, skin barrier disorders, cosmetic chemistry and corneotherapeutic modalities, we have created a blended education pathway that includes online and face-to-face education courses to support your continued growth. 

This blended education pathway provides a structured framework for professional development that will make you stand out from the crowd.

Foundation: Level One

This level of education is your starting point and showcases all of the foundation education you need to be in a position to successfully support your clients on their skin health journey. Your foundation level of education consists of online educational courses that will introduce you to the philosophy of Corneotherapy, skin anatomy and physiology and dermaviduals theoretical product knowledge.

Course duration - 20 minute video

Skin Anatomy & Physiology: The Foundations Designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge of the integumentary system including the fundamentals of skin anatomy and physiology. This course will support continued confidence and understanding of the largest and most complex organ of the body - the skin!

Course duration - 60 minute video

Corneotherapy: A Methodology of Practice & Thinking Learn all there is to know about Corneotherapy, Dr Albert Kligman - the founder of Corneotherapy, the stratum corneum, what is and what isn’t considered corneotherapeutic skincare, an overview of the keratinocyte lifecycle and what it takes to be a Practicing Corneotherapist.

Course duration - 60 minute video

Practitioner’s Guide to Skin Health Presented by Derma Aesthetics Head of Education, Lisa Paone, this course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the philosophy behind dermaviduals, the methodology of Corneotherapy, the integumentary system, our unique delivery system, the adjustment phase and take you through each product offering available. 

Course duration - 5 hours

dermaviduals prerequisite education MUST be completed prior to attending live education.

4 x courses to be completed in Foundation: Level One. 

Total duration of course content: 7.5 hours.

All courses must be completed to move into the next tier of education. 

Level one certificate awarded at the completion of all prerequisite learning modules.
